I think it might actually be the start of a new relationship after two people were wronged in their last ones. "your ghost did you wrong" could be that she got cheated on or hurt by her ex somehow and then him fighting for her and his wrongs or hurt from another relationship could be mended together in this new one to make it right. Then the last stanza about the dinner and how she is showing him her old home like one often does when starting a new relationship, you start with the past to learn about each other. And "cause Im alright if you're alright" could be that he can move on from the past hurt and start anew with her if she can do it too. maybe? haha |
