I hear a few words differently, but it changes the meaning of the song completely. In the first verse, it is "But I can't see through tear-blinded eyes". It's his eye that are crying. The second verse is "I got a stone where my heart should be". i.e. his heart is a dead peice of rock. And the chorus, he's not talking about "lies, lies, lies" (not nouns) - he's telling 'her' to "lie, lie, lie" (verb) Dude just had his heart broken. She doesn't love him anymore. She promissed him the moon, but is leaving ... He wants her to stay and to lie to him if she has to - just stay... |
