I think it's less a literal "He was afraid she'd leave him so he killed her and fucked her corpse" type thing, and more a fantasy that he has, that horrifies him. He loved the girl so much, and was afraid she'd leave him, so he starts thinking and he imagines this whole scenario where he kills her, and then eats her heart, and keeps her dead body to have sex with. The fantasy starts out with just him killing her, and then starts getting more and more terrifying and ridiculous, until he starts feeling guilty for thinking these things, that's why in his dream his girl comes back from the grave and kills him. Then he pleads with her to try and make it up to her, and she agrees, and they get married as like undead zombies, which shows that he's kind of made peace with all of his fear that she'd leave him, because of how she ended up marrying him after they had killed each other. Just my interpretation. People are way too literal. Or else I look into things too much. |
