As said above, this song is about "making it to heaven" and god. This song has so much significance to me personally because even though I do not believe in heaven, god, or religion, it describes exactly how I feel about growing up. It also pretty much sums up the relationship I have with one of my friends. |

This song means the world to me because it is, word for word how I felt about my ex boyfriend at the end of our relationship and it helped me get through it... although I always have wondered who he is referring to personally. Considering the fact that he has been with the same woman since they were 16... I doubt it's an ex girlfriend. I am going to go with the idea of old friends. |
