In my interpretation. The song is about a man who loved a woman, Janet, but she'd keep leaving him so the love developed into a powerful desire to control her. So when she left him again, he noticed that she'd left her pills. Perhaps she had been suffering from a disease. When she called up, dying, he tells her that it's her time to go, meaning he doesn't love her anymore to protect her from anything, he wants to save himself from the pain. It's a bitter, angry song with hurtful revenge. |
