now we got no-where to lay...dees and gentle men... i.e. 'ladies and gentlemen' |

| NOFX – Leave It Alone Lyrics | 17 years ago |

I guessed this was just about how the easiest route is to conform with society and not challenge authority and shit. Like how the structures and institutions that keep us in place are allowed to continue as it's just easier to 'Leave it alone'. "Breathe, ever so slight, we couldn't take away your god given right" is my favorite line... to me it suggests that freedom and individually is stripped back so far that all you've got left is your breath. |

| NOFX – Kids of the K-Hole Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I don't think it's about addiction - just the helplessness of being on such a long and intense trip. It's a trippy song about being fucked up. | |

This song is so cool. One of NOFX's cleverest. A crazy aussie = Rupert Murdoch I assume |

| Snow Patrol – Spitting Games Lyrics | 17 years ago |

I've always associated this song with the ecstasy, the popular drug. "The floodgates opened up"... referring to the euphoria of the drug taking effect "And i fell in love with everyone i saw"... ask someone who's taken E whether they can relate to this "Its not as if i need the extra weight"... a lively night on ecstasy reduces your weight somewhat "My heart is bursting" could also refer to an effect of the drug Not saying the song is about drugs - I'm not sure, perhaps the imagery just provides a neat metaphor for the shyness and love aspects he is taking about. |
