| This song is like that abrupt shot through the heart when you realize you do not live and breathe without the world, but the world lives and breathes without you. | |

"As always people cant stand not knowing, and the kind of people that take the easy way out start/believe in religion." It's interesting that you say that, considering many people of faith believe it is the Godless who are taking the easy way out. Personally, I think my life would be much easier if I simply believed God does not exist. Also, you are not very insightful. Truth is not a thing you can hold in your hands, waving it in the faces of those who are without; to believe so is rather narrow-minded. Truth has always been, and will always be, completely subject to the one who seeks it. |

Ummm...ok, so without having much background with the band or most of their songs, I totally took a political meaning away from this song. ^^ I did see them with Coheed back in 2005, and they are indeed amazing live. |

Hmm... I see everyone referring to the very literal meaning of the song, but I wonder if there isn't something deeper here. The line "’Cause I can't feel my face, I won't struggle on, In a world so cold, In a world so wrong" seems a little out of place with the initial thoughts of what this song is about. Why throw in the bit about the world being so cold and wrong? Hmm... I think this might possibly be metaphoric, rather than literal. I wonder what impressed the lyrics in this song? |
