I agree with all "I figured it out when I drew the lines. I thought you should know because it came together nice." to elaborate on this, i think that he even means by "figuring it out" when he "drew the lines" that he figured out things weren't worth it/working out when he gave her boundaries and she didn't follow them. Like after the relationship isn't new anymore and both members have to make sacrifices to make the other person happy, like following the guidelines the other has given them. |

| i think this song is about how he loves this girl but either she does something that breaks his trust or his feelings have faded, but either way he falls out of love with her and he doesn't know how to say it because he wants to stay in love with her so badly he keeps pretending that he is still in love with her. then he doesn't know what to say to her because he has pretended to love her for so long he became numb. i think what he means by giving it all away is giving his entire being to this girl, and he realizes he doesn't even feel anything toward her anymore. | |
