So, I don't mean to fight, or anything. I was just stating my point, which has since changed.

But that really wasn't the point of me 'fighting back'. It wasn't because I was sure my opinion was right. It was just simply that I don't like being attacked and called stupid because of just an opinion.

I understand the hypocrisy in what I said, so, you don't need to point it out either. Not to sound rude, but that's the only way I know how to put my point across.

Sorry.

I am not a true fan? Listen, I don't even agree with myself, anymore. That was over a year ago, when I wrote about what I thought this song was about. And have since, found this interview, found a better translation. And guess what, I agree with you!

I am aware that I don't know Kyo personally, and so, I am aware that I am probably wrong, and also willing to accept that. But this was all just opinion, and you can't tell me that my opinion is wrong.

To me; that is what I saw the song as meaning. To me now, it doesn't mean even nearly the same thing. My view has changed entirelly.

My point is this, you don't know what he would absolutely not write a song about, so you can't say that anyone is always 100% wrong. We are all wrong, in a sense, and we are all right, in a sense.

Lyrics and music is a feeling that is meant to be interperated. Most times, it is wrongly conceived, and the direct meaning is lost, so Kyo's message in itself isn't always conveyed. But a feeling is always present. Whether it be his or your own.

I didn't mean to come off like an arrogant bitch, and this isn't the fault of anyone on here, but lately it seems as though everyone and their mother thinks that they know everything about what Kyo writes. And the truth is, we all don't know anything at all.

Eh~ You don't think he cares about his fans? -_________-;;;;

That's a very rude thing to assume.

I think that it's kind of obvious that the song is about the environment, but than again, is Kyo ever really -obvious-?

Maybe he had heard 'Glass Skin' in the making, and had realized that would be a better song to write about the environment? Because the themes in this version and that song are very similar.

Just a suggestion.

p.s.
I am not so much angry about the fact that you don't think this song is what I think it is about.

But the fact that you think Kyo would never write about such a thing.

Have you ever had a real conversation with him? Do you know him personally? Do you know what he dreams at night? Do you know his darkest fantasies?

You don't know him, you don't know what it's about. And it's fucking bullshit to think that you're any better than me and my opinion.

Okay. Let me try this once again. Did I ever, even if for a moment, say that he said there was a 'joy' in his lyrics? No, I didn't. I, not clearly enough, expressed that it was a bitter sweet feeling.

I don't care if you think Kyo is made of stone, the man has emotion. He has feeling. He has an opinion on his audience. Could you, briefly, for one moment, assume that the man cares about his fans? Because let's fucking be honest here, he's stated more than once how important they are to him (and it was very -very- important). How would you feel if you were in front of a crowd of people who were singing your feelings?

You would have to feel some kind of connection. At least once out of the, what, thousands of lives they've done? At least once, you would have to feel something. Some emotion.

He might be kind of a loner, and he might isolate himself. But fucking get real if you think he doesn't think about anyone but himself

I am well aware that Kyo stated he will never write a happy song. I never implied that this was a happy feeling. Connections aren't always happy. And I was sure that I stated that this was being 'ripped away' from the connection.

Oh, please dear god show me the interview where he said he had a girlfriend that ditched him.
(you were aware that he lies a lot? of course you are, you know everything about him, don't you?)

Not everything he says is a metaphor, either. But, I don't really know, I guess. I don't know him just as much as you don't.

I'd like to think that Kyo would write something more than just metaphor's all of the time. But you obviously think that he is too much of an 'enigma' to ever express an actual part of his world view.

Seriously god, why does everyone think that they know him, and absolutely know for sure what he would completely -never- write about?

This is my opinion.
I heard it live.
GUESS WHAT HE DID?
He -reached out his hands- at the fucking audience.
(OH WHAT, AT THE AUDIENCE?)
Maybe it was a way to express his emotion.
(maybe his emotion was connecting with the crowd)

If you really had all of their 'cd's, b-sides, rarities, and singles'

You think you would know how to spell 'Dir en grey' or 'DIR EN GREY'

No capitol G unless it's all capitols.

Know your shit before you brag about it.

Anyone with any knowledge of Kyo or his life would feel embarrassed for me?

Really? All considering, I'm not some kind of 'new fan'. I've known them for 5 years, and seen them in concert 5 times. I've read an analyzed all of Kyo's songs and poems.

Granted that these lyrics might be shit, and I have no doubt that they are.

I'm kind of embarrassed for you, to think that you know everything about this man. To know him so well that you know he'd never possibly write about something like this.

Obviously, to you, he's someone that only writes about blood and guts, and how damned he is.

Oh, but do forget the times he's mentioned sorry to those he's hurt, even though he might not know of them.

How on earth could this relate to the audience?

Okay, let me spell this one out for you, since you're obviously too ignorant to read it for yourself.

"I tried so hard to bear with it. I even put out my hand. But
what it all comes down to was now;"
Have you ever seen the performance of '-Mushi-' on the Blitz 5 days? He looks like he's in so much pain, and he looks like he's trying not to cut himself, not to hurt himself. But the only way for him to feel good again is to do that, at least for that moment. He tried so hard not to do it. 'I even put out my hand'. Wait, what does Kyo do when he's on stage sometimes? Put out his hand for someone to touch?
"we're in hell under his control."
He could be talking about whoever directs the show, and how he (kyo) isn't the one who decides when the show is over, and how it's not really his fault if the feeling is cut off too soon. Or as inbetweemo stated, he might be referring to himself.
"So this is the end I tell you, Lights will be turned off and the
stage turned to darkness."
Oh, wow, a stage turned into darkness? I wonder what that could mean.
"Let me hear your voice more. I still want to be here."
Explaining, that the only place he wants to be at that moment is the stage, and he isn't ready yet to leave. He has explained in interviews that Dir en grey is the only thing in his life that keeps him going, and without them he couldn't be happy, and he could never be in any other band.
"Goodbye to an anonymous girl I loved from my heart."
Probably talking about an audience member, someone that he briefly connected with, although it was only momentarily, because they shared something that night.

"My tears mix with blood, and it brings to life my new dream
in my heart."
Oh my god, what does Kyo do on stage during this era? Cut himself?
Oh dear god, what else does he sometimes do? Cry?

Tears and blood, holy fuck, this song could so never be about a stage performance.

"Until our voices go out, at last.
Let's sing until our voices go out."

go fuck yourself.

Haha, really?

Oh, give me a break. I wasn't implying Heath's Joker, moreso The Killing Joke.

And the entire story behind it.

Oh, and not to mention the fact that it's all about losing your mind completely, carinvals, and, oh wait, what was that, children?

Holy shit, no way.

This reminds me of 'The Killing Joke' or anything about the Joker in general. Not surprising. Everyone has a little bit of sociopath in them.

Not to mention Kyo owns a joker shirt.

To Miyabi.. according to Kyo, none of his songs are loves songs. Maybe you should read some interviews or something. He says that you can take the song anyway you want it, but, he never writes love songs.

In my opinion, that's just ridiculous. I can see where he is coming from, but honestly. It's hard not to have one love song. I mean look at 'Ain't afraid to die' and even the english version of 'Glass Skin'... But the point is, -he- has no love songs.

People have love songs.

Yeah, Kyo hates Sid Vicious so much, that's why 'Hydra' is all about wanting to be an anarchist just like Sid. Oh, and don't forget about the fact that he said 'Sid and Nancy' in Jessica. Oh yes, please don't forget about the fact that he wears a lock on his neck just like Sid Vicious...

Yup, he hates him so much -eyeroll-

Eh, I'm pretty sure he's saying 'Hurry up Hurry up' but he's trying to be all cool by making his h's hardcore or something. I don't know how to explain it without doing it myself. Kind of like a german 'ch' sound...

I'm not making fun of him in anyway either :X
I can't remember but in a few other songs he does this to.... hm..

Oh! In 'Marmalade Chainsaw' he says 'Nobody's hell like mine'
And it sounds like 'No-Bo-Dies Kell like Miene.'

It's cute.

Uhm, not to be a douche bag or anything. But this song is neither romantic nor is it a mourning song. This song sounds like whoever the protaganist is killed the one he loved so they could be together forever. I guess if that's what you call romantic...

The music makes a very distinct shape in my mind. And before I even knew what the lyrics meant it reminded me of the color blue.

Kyo also mentions staring up at the sky forever, maybe in a grave? Murder-suicide? This was very early on in their musical careers which makes it easier for me to think that this is actually what the song was about.

But it's more about the feeling and atmosphere then the actual story at all, isn't it?

His birthday is in feburary along with the forming of Dir en grey.
Maybe that has something to do with it?

I think the 'him' he is talking about is himself, and how he changed.

Okay, I signed up just to comment this song. Musically, it's really not my favourite. Nothing certainly stands out about it. But the lyrics are powerful, and in my opinion have NOTHING to do with his ex fiance, if he did have one.

This is about a fan, or multiple fans. Like, he realizes how many people love him, and he's giving back, saying that he wants to hear their voices sing his song, and he doesn't want the show to be over, because right in that moment, they are in love.

They are controlled by whoever is the leader of the show, who tells them when the curtain will go down, and the stage will turn to darkness.
