| West Indian Girl – Miles From Monterey Lyrics | 17 years ago |

I downloaded this song a year ago and it randomly played today and I can't stop listening to it on repeat. I think this song is about a long distance relationship and it's putting a strain on the relationship. The girl went away and is growing distant. He is desperately trying to save the relationship. He's driving to her in heartache and reminiscing that they were once a couple that "could never see what never is," meaning maybe that when they were young they thought they could do anything together. He tells her to "let it go," which I is him telling her to let go of the idea of "falling away." |
