wow, this song is so intense. when she says "save him" i don't think she is talking about her son because she says it before the son is mentioned and also about when her own father beat her. i think what she is meaning is that through the beatings, she still loved both of them, and wished that they weren't beating her both for her sake and their own. because she knows that it was bad for THEM to beat her. i agree with the first statement, its odd how it seems the neighbor does nothing, but at the same time, i think it was not mentioned for a reason. i think that would take away from the story itself. |

this song may be dedicated to the war in iraq or whatnot but that isn't what its about. there are biblical references all in this song. "This is where they kiss" ^i LOVE this line!!!! its referring to before the crucifixion when judas betrayed Jesus he planned it and told the people he giving Jesus over to to be killed that they one he 'greeted with a kiss' was the one who claimed to be the Christ. i LOVE this song!!!!! i am a Christian and i love kid rock. i don't like the fact that he says G.D. but the truth is that he is a human and humans have different sorts of emotions. what i like about kid rock is that he says what he feels no matter what it is, no matter what. and i can honestly relate to this entire song. everything in this song is true to him. he's not being hypocritical or a "poser". he's speaking truth. no matter what it is or what it relates to! as a Christian even, you can one second not be sure of what God is doing in your life and be frustrated about it and the next praise God, because he is true. this song is just true life. i love kid rocks newer stuff too. his music has seemed to get a lot more serious lately and thats cool. |
