im pretty sure this song is about asya's depression. i love it. amazingly sad, beautiful, touching and relatable. the first 8 verses that talk about being lost alone is a cry of loneliness. "when you dont know me you dont have to lose" is a statement reaching out to the people that dont know what its like to be lonely. the people who dont know her problems, are living life happily without knowledge of her issues. "I look out out my window I see through a waterfall It seems as if I could walk off the edge (suicide) If it weren’t for the barrier between (family & friends) The water’s pounding so hard (water=sadness/problems) It keeps my windows clean" "If I could only see, See between If the rain would stop, I could only be me" This quote is saying: If she could look past the problems in her life, if the depression would stop, she could be herself. |

isnt it weird that this song is called 'to forgive', yet he never actually says that. the title made me think he was saying 'to forgive' during the chorus, then i checked out the lyrics and its clearly "i forget to forget". and that line is him telling himself he needs to forget sometimes, stop worrying about the past, leave those emotions behind, because life is your playground, its not important in the grand scheme of things. |

this song has some good parts and some bad. the intro sounds really girlish and pop which i dont like. i like when eminem used to talk at the beginning of songs but he used have more clever things to say than what he said on this song. and he says he "hates the fame" which is an obvious lie. he used to feel this way and his featured artists used to back that up. but now he does shit with nicki minaj, lil wayne, drake, and takes pics with justin bieber. he used to hate the current pop acts of the 90s and early 2000s and he had a good reason, they make shit music. but, he does have some very clever punchlines, wayyy better flow than on most of recovery, and disses. i dont like the fact that he ccnouldt find anyone clever to diss though. he had to re-do the whole elton john thing, which hes done a million times. |

imo this song is about wishing and wanting to have a soul mate. "Do you throw it in the well Wishing you had someone to tell" --- 'throw it in the well' is him tossing coins in a well which is the act of wishing, so hes wishing he had someone to tell his feelings to. "I’ve thrown so much away These times die and stay alive"---- hes constantly wishing he had something more, and these feelings come and go "You never change to fire if you’re ice Even if you melt on a table and dry" ----your true self always remains the same even if something tragic or emotionally scarring happens to you "And that table is burned I’ll tell you why ‘Cuz you stayed by going away and life changes not you" ------ the table burned is representing the change that has occured in you. 'youve stayed by going away' means that every person is afffected differently by things and the way youre affected is determined by the type of person you are. so basically, even if something happens to you causing you to act differently than you normally do, your still 'you' (staying), because you repsonded to it in your own way. thats why 'life changes not you' |

dude, i just hit a bowl of purple kush, and i just realized exactly what this song is about. this song is about blazing. hes dreaming in the morning, day, and night. meaning hes smoking. i think dreaming means like when you daydream or think alot when ur baked. "When I start to feel the feeling comin' over me I soon forget all about responsibility I walk around in a wide-awake daydream Things are better out here than they might seem" i think those statements pretty much prove that he's singing about smoking pot. |

yea amyhill your absolutely right. u made me realize it. the first part is actually about how he wants to be in his dream state. and in the light (daytime/when hes awake) hes lost, in the darkness of before (night/when hes sleeping) he knows where he is and sees with every part of him. so basically its kind of like a "Matrix" type thing where his dream world is actually the reality and where he finds himself to be happy. anyways his descriptions are amazing: "you're a ghost in life Pushed right out and kept inside of a bodiless weight" it makes you understand perfectly, its like your trapped in this body, when in the dream world your free the last part: "When you close your eyes at night Someone clears a path for you to ride When you wake the next day You will only go that way" well this means that all the knowledge you gain from your dream, and the goal/objective that your dream gives you, is carried on with you when you wake up this stuff that he talks about in this song is so true, i mean, i feel like this happens to me often |
