The amount of anti-christian children on the internet is laughable. That being said, the song was explained quite well by MusicianSean. "Caught, we are caught in a wheel spun around on the truth. Maybe we dont need to know anymore than we have to." This line right here explains the song pretty well. Science is our attempt to explain the natural laws of the world, and in hopes of delving deeper into the understanding the creation behind it, be it by god, a being greater than us, fate, or whatever it is that happened. Science HAS NOT determined anything, and even though it gets closer to what they think will be the understanding, they have yet to. Like the song says, maybe we don't need to know anymore than we have to. This song also reminds me of the story of the boy who constructed wings of wax in an attempt to fly to the sun. However as he got close the sun melted his wings and he plummeted to the earth. We are only human, and sometimes we think of ourselves as greatness, when we don't truly understand what greatness is yet, and be it explained through science or religion, its all we have, and maybe thats all we need.(not that we shouldnt further ourselves, just a take from the songs lyrics) |

I'm gonna start off by saying I disagree with the suicide interpretations. I'm thinking its more along the lines a woman who is more or less a slave, to a household(think Cinderella). And one night she makes a run for it, not knowing what is beyond the household that she knew. Lines like: "There is no way you would go back now, oh no, those days are past" Don't really seem to say she couldn't go back, but more or less, she would not be going back. The ending chorus phrase "Life is waiting for the one who loves to live, and it is not a secret?" also would denote that that she is one whom loves live, and Life is waiting for her to live it to its fullest, not as some slave(or w.e it may be). Suicide is valid, I just feel it disagrees with some lines in the song. |
