just because a band is "christian" doesn't mean that every song will be based on "god" give me a break. "Maybe we, why don't we sit right here for half an hour. We'll speak of what a waste I am and how we missed your beat again." -this person is talking to their other half. the other person is dissapointed in what the other person has or hasn't become. and maybe the choices that the person made has not let the other person grow to what they think they need to be. it's another conversation wasted because the conversation has become one sided as usual and the other person is not open to what the other person needs. selfish "I swear we need to find some comfort in this run down place To bridge the gap of this conscious state that we live in. I'm short on time." the singer is trying to convince this person that the outcome of their situation is not entirely the singers fault. that it is just the way the world is. it's run down and pathetic. yet the singer knows that nothing they can say will fix anything. singer feels short on time, hence the 30 minute conversation. "How come you try and fit the shape of what they tell you But mostly what they show you. That brings us home. i pray for you to move on." -singer now wants to know why this person feels the need to conform to what society thinks is right. and really wants this person to grow. and move on from what they have been showed and told to do. "At this rate we can't keep up but I sure can't just sit still. I'm taking back all the things I said. Keep me filled in, I swear I'll come." singer isnt getting any response. but will wait. takes beack all the things they said, the negativity. singers just wants person to keep talking to them about all their fears, hopes, dreams etc. as long as communication is still open between them, the singer will come running back to this person. "We will walk alone, back home." singer says we will block out all those people that want to mold you . we will go back home without them. just us. fuck the world. "You're almost gone and I'm ok to give you time to be afraid I still see your shadow but never your face again I remember your presence." singer knows that the person they ment before is almost gone. but he loves this person enough to let them chose their own path "I hope to God you came down. I hope to God you can feel this now." singer wants this person to come down from this "high" that they are a better person. singer hopes this person feels the pain that the singer feels without this person in their life. |

Rated 0 i think this song is about a girl, something is tying her down (maybe someone, or something someone did to her)and she is dying inside. which is why they see her breath in the air to a chair, her cold pale skin and tainted purple lips. this guy, has know of it. i think he is a vampire, but doesnt want to take the lifes of humans anymore. so hes been hiding in his bed from this. hes screaming inside his head. (but he hasnt said a word) he has fallen in love with this girl, and wants to take her away from all her pain. so if he embraces her with his kiss, she can become one of them. (the sky is calling and the stars the point to this) after he gives her "the kiss" they together float like angels. !!!!!!!listen to the change in the music after that line.....i can see them just embracing and swirling up into the air. they go higher than the heavens, and he tells her to promise to never look down, and we'll stay like this forever. ( in other words, never look back at her life as it was before) if your stomach feels weak than my work here is done. self explanitory. i friggen love this song!!!!! some days i wish someone would take me a way from it all...... |
