Apparently the song is about Kevin. I agree with Michaela;x - In the song she used to want the guy to love her just as much as she loved him, but he never did which is a lot like Britney and Kevin's relationship ( well from what we know from "Britney: For the record" and "Chaotic"). The term "out from under" is obviously her emotional state. She was feeling depressed and in a dark place (under), and when she is "out from under" she claims that she will "figure it out" (such as her personal life and career, I'm assuming). |

This song is about her first love - Reg Jones. Apparently her mother convinced her to break it off with him - "My mama told me go on and let you go". Then she hears that he has a new girlfriend and she says that it hurts that he has found a new love but she is doing ok. Her first single "...Baby one more time" is also apparent when she says "Hit me one more time And trust me I’ll be ok", you can hear the similarity in "Baby one more time" in the beat/rhythm. Then the song goes on to say that although he is now dating another girl, he sleeps with Britney again, but then she realises what she is doing and puts an end to their affair - "Are you sure that you’re prepared For what comes serves on its plate, Wait a minute Oooh, I’m having second thoughts, See my hearts on fault, Could you pass my shorts? Don’t you got a girl? Till then, I’m sorry, you must wait" The song is basically about how Britney has broken up with her boyfriend, and then they have gotten back together after he has already started a new relationship. :) |
