I see this song as the 2nd half of Under The Bridge
He says, "I feel so lonely"
HE thinks I must LIVE! ANchary and animals! No more loneliness!
and yearns to retun to being an animal, as opposed to a human with feelings. He wants to the simple although hellish life he once lead over feeling hurt and being complex. This I think relfects his inner junkie, the part of AK who takes the path of least resistance. |

This song is about two lovers arguing over how humanity came to earth. one is into a religion, the other is faithful in evolution. Hence, "you don't form in the wet sand" (we didn't come out of the ocean one lover says) "you don't FORM at all" (same one, saying that a divine being made humanity. The other lover says "I DO" (showing she still has faith in her beliefs. In that sense It's about holding onto what you believe in, even when the results could permanantly hurt you (like her lover divorcing her for thier repeated arguing. She still holds on thhough.)

I think this song is both about addiction and the life of both the peppers and AK.
He refrences drugs multiple times, plus he says "rockapotumas" which was what they were going to call the album that Hillel died in making. Therefore the phrase is a link atwixt drugs and rock for AK. |

I Find a connection between this and all of the Red Hots other anti drug songs. Not only does it lyrically refrence knock me down, ( which was about losing Slovak to an OD0, but I think this songmay be about losing john to heroin and such, and how AK and the other Peppers will be "there for him" and stuff.
My thoughts aside this a magnificent song. Very mealonchoaly and pretty |
