i hear the following: a *starless* shroud like dark to you my heart is pounding waiting for the ocean *deep enough* to lift my veil crsytal light *shine down on us* god has a voice she speaks through me every creature *longs to be* in his arms please carry me and i absolutely love this song. and the video, both of which are just beautiful. and bizarre. and inexplicable, like everything they do. i like how hard it is to distinguish who is singing when in this song. and the she/his references to god (ambiguously gendered). i read somewhere this is supposed to be a suicide story full of hope and the idea of returning to mother nature. the new album is supposed to play heavily on opposing dichotomies and continue the oceanic/apocalyptic themes. i'm ready for it to come out already! |
