It takes SKILL to scream like Dani does. If you tried to do it without actually training or learning how to do it you would blast your voice box and rip it to shreds in a day. This is specialised work!
And the lyrics are beautiful. The last verse made the song from amazing to mind bogglingly magical!
So not only is Dani a very skilled vocalist, but if he ever stops singing and writes a book of poetry then I'm going to be one of the first people to get it! |

I think this song has a feminist spin to it. Maybe it's saying that god is never there for all the atrocities that happen in the world, and also the fact that the world is still male-dominated, especially in the Christian world. |

I think it's about someone who is bored in their relationship and has never had a chance to break loose. So she/he goes and sleeps with someone who is also in a relationship, to "lose control" and just be wild and not think through their actions for once. The losing control is just her/his way of stirring up her/his life.
"If I cut you down to a thing I can use, I fear there will be nothing good left of you".
She/he doesn't want them to be anything more than just a one night stand or a fuck buddy, maybe because they're still attached to their partners and just wanted a change.
I'm not sure about this interpretation, but oh well. :) |

I heard this on Verboten Libre and have loved it ever since. :)
I think you can interprete the lyrics however you want to. I personally associate it with self harm because it's something that I can relate to, but there are lots of meanings. That's the best thing about a simple yet beautiful song like this: you can look at it however you want and it becomes YOUR song and it seems like it was made for you.
