Marilyn Manson – Coma Black Lyrics 15 years ago

Philadelphia Eagles

You need informal logic 101. You are intellectually dishonest and ignorant. One does not have to be a Christian to understand Christianity, and there's always those ex-christians. You are an illogical moron. You have specific commandments and verses that condemn believers to hell just for wishing deathy on another person.
Hell - The category with the highest percentage seeing hell were those in the Christian (38%) category. The lowest percentage were those in the non-religious (0%) category. The high percentage of Christians going to hell is likely because of their firm belief in it and they are "getting what they expect" in this category.

I was a Christian for many years and know that that is not how a Christians behaves. A truly saved person becomes a better person; sin free. No corruption of the mouth is allowed. The bible teaches against this behavior ands even warns of Hell for those who partake in it. You haven't changed, you are not a Christian. You are a wordly person.

Interpretation
The song's lyrics describe the title establishment as a luxury resort where "you can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave." On the surface, the song tells the tale of a weary traveler who becomes trapped in a nightmarish luxury hotel that at first appeared inviting and tempting. The song is an allegory about hedonism and self-destruction in the Southern California music industry of the late 1970s; Don Henley called it "our interpretation of the high life in Los Angeles"[5] and later reiterated "it's basically a song about the dark underbelly of the American dream and about excess in America, which is something we knew a lot about."[6] In 2008, Don Felder described the origins of the lyrics:

"Don Henley and Glenn wrote most of the words. All of us kind of drove into LA at night. Nobody was from California, and if you drive into LA at night... you can just see this glow on the horizon of lights, and the images that start running through your head of Hollywood and all the dreams that you have, and so it was kind of about that... what we started writing the song about. Coming into LA... and from that Life In The Fast Lane came out of it, and Wasted Time and a bunch of other songs.":[7]

The abstract nature of the lyrics has led listeners to their own interpretations over the years. In the 1980s, some Christian evangelists alleged that "Hotel California" referred to a San Francisco hotel purchased by Anton LaVey and converted into the Church of Satan.[8][9] Other rumors suggested that the Hotel California was the Camarillo State Mental Hospital.[10] These claims have been consistently refuted by the band.

The term "colitas" in the first stanza of the song is a Spanish term for "little tails" and a reference to the buds of the Cannabis plant.[11]

In a 2009 interview, Plain Dealer music critic John Soeder asked Don Henley this about the lyrics:

On "Hotel California," you sing: "So I called up the captain / 'Please bring me my wine' / He said, 'We haven't had that spirit here since 1969.'" I realize I'm probably not the first to bring this to your attention, but wine isn't a spirit. Wine is fermented; spirits are distilled. Do you regret that lyric?

Cradle of Filth – Libertina Grimm Lyrics 16 years ago
Yes. She is what you may call, a not so common beauty, maybe not exactly trendy or stunning by society standards, but very beautiful at that, she even seduces men to her whim. She is not a good girl. She is mommys worst nightmare. She is obviously a very slutty girl, with no impulse control and, a very, very intelligent woman.. She is in fact every gothic males fantasy icon... Very fashionable and witty, probably mentally ill(Bioplar.) She has a drug addiction, paraphilia and a criminal record. Sounds like a good time. :D

There are alot of connotations to Aleister Crowley as well. He had his Scarlet Whores, and his temple prostitutes... He always thought his current love was "The Whore of Babylon," so you can see in some songs certain words that suggest his influence, he did believe himself to be "The Great Beast."

Look up Leila Waddell for instance.

This album is VERY loosely based off Paradise Lost. It is Dani Filths own fictional take on, The Fall of mankind. This is either a situation in which Lucifer calls the Whore of Babylon, then she becomes his Whore to do his bidding, he chose a woman to do his bidding and a very sexy and gorgeous woman at that.

I believe this is not his true love, but, another woman he seduced into doing his evil bidding; a loese woman obviously. His love in the album is 'Faith,'which obviously proves it isn't based off Paradise Lost completely. It has it's own story. :D The best I could do out of the lyrics.

Makes the most sense.

Cradle of Filth – Gilded Cunt Lyrics 17 years ago
I think this song is about some scammer woman who uses her sex and promise of love at the expense of men. I believe she uses her charm and beauty to get men to buy her expensive clothes, jewelry and to give her money. But then suddenly is gone and never lives up to the lies she has told. This actually is a real problem in Eastern Europe and for Western men. However, I do not think it is about the writer's experience but somebody else he knew. Not very sure but perhaps it is about an evil woman who uses beauty and love to get money, obviously. :)

Cradle of Filth – Queen Of Winter, Throned Lyrics 17 years ago
Queen Jadis, The White Witch is a jinn/giant from the city of Charn, which was part of a dying world. She is also the self-proclaimed queen of Narnia, her reason being that she is part human, knowingly untrue. Ruling with an iron fist, she had placed a spell on Narnia so that it is forever winter but never Christmas. She frequently turns to stone those she believes traitors. Her magic wand can turn people and animals to stone. The White Witch's only fear is of the prophecy that tells of "two sons of Adam" and "two daughters of Eve" who will come to Narnia and ally with Aslan to overthrow her. (She is first shown in The Magician's Nephew.)

Or read Chronicles of Narnia, haven't in 10 years. The evil winter witch resembles the lyrics. But remember the songs are complex so it may just be about nothing. :)

It could be Queen of Winter, Beira it could be about the Norse Goddess Skadi or it could be a metaphor about a cold, malicious and beautiful woman. The sound at this beginning and 'A Dream of Wolves in Snow' suggests it has a Nordic connection and a winter themed one at that. It could be just about any dark feminine character or even allegorical to characters he already uses. Perhaps an almalgamation. But his own pictorial on her.
