This song reflects a part in my life. It's about a guy's ex-girlfriend who left him for his best friend; The best friend is portrayed as Santa because he could've gave the guy gifts, etc. Instead he backstabbed his friend and gone with his ex.

I believe JessicaLee00's interpretation of the song could be correct. The song was most likely written by Alex Gaskarth (the lead vocals and guitar of the band) and he shared his personal love experience in this song "Remembering Sunday". The song is a lot more metaphorical than literal. It's about Alex, whom he fell in love for the girl but she didn't believe in love, instead they had a intimate relationship. Towards the end when she says her peace of not wanting to come back to Alex, she finally understands that she loved him but it's too late to turn back to him now because both of their hearts are hurting and they're going to try heal by moving on. In this case, nobody committed suicide or is suffering from an bad alcohol behavior; It's just about Alex being a famous rock star and it goes to show that being famous doesn't get you everything.
