I think this song is about the neverending background dissonance that exists in the world today...all the medications and technology and proclaimed cures for all of our problems only make it harder to find peace and reason and connection to the real, natural world surrounding us. It just reminds me of that constant background sound that exists everywhere, of cars on the highways, no matter where you are... and how you always hear traces of people around you but they are really so far away at the same time, a crushing and lonesome paradox... And of course it's entailing depression and how medication is just a narcissistic narcotic, it doesn't actually fix anything, just covers it up and creates more waste... ...i'm gonna go cry myself to sleep now haha |
