Had this song for ages and it never really made sense but i think 'worthdyingfor' has hit the nail on the head. I've split up with a girl that i've known and been with for a long while, unfortunately uni cocked all that up and we said that 'if it's meant to be we'll end up back together' Cut a long story short i reckon it's about the guy/girl waiting until university is over so they can finally be back with the person he/she truly loves "I gave you everything, but it just wasn?t enough" (basically means they tried everything but distance ended up getting the better of the relationship) "Never again will I have you beside me" (The idea that there is a possibility that nothing will be the same again/never get back together) "The years behind cost more than I'll ever have" (the relationship before uni was so good but not worth the pain of breaking up whilst they still love eachother just because of distance) The rest of the song is pretty self explanatory if you take my perspective, would love to see different views on this song =) Nevertheless pretty depressing but i love it. |
