| Sara Groves – When It Was Over Lyrics | 11 years ago |
| Okay, so I wrote two interpretations. I think this song is genius, because the first time I did not catch that they both made mistakes. Both forgave the other. It’s not about him being wrong or her being wrong. All are sinners and neither should really judge because we all need to be loved. We all give up at some point in our lives even many times. We all need to be reminded to keep a positive attitude. | |

This is my interpretation. I was thinking that a couple hit a dead end in their relationship. He took a nose dive and she let him go rather than take responsibility for his actions. He later realized what he needed to do to "get right". She may have let him go but she didn't give up on him. She had faith in him and mercy on him for he probably didn't really know the long term affect his choices were having on the relationship. The destination was in mind but he got lost on the way. Her love was unconditional and she wanted to fight for them, which is why I think Sara wrote this: "When it was over and they could talk about it They were sitting on the couch She said what on earth made you stay here When you finally figured out what I was all about He said I always knew you'd do the right thing Even though it might take some time She said, Yeah, I felt that and that's probably what saved my life" I was thinking what saved her life was letting him go. Perhaps he had a lot of time to think about things. Perhaps he went to jail, rehab, stayed home, or went somewhere else. He needed to appreciate her and the better things in life. I was also thinking that love is wonderful. Grace is amazing. God is love. There's nothing more greater than to love and be loved in return. |

| Anthony Hamilton – I'll Wait to Fall in Love Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| I think it's obvious that he wants her to know that she's worth something more than the textbook happy couples. He's past the five year plan that most young hearts fumble through blindly "in love". This song reminds me of a mature love. I think she is in another relationship, but isn't going to stay. He's patiently backing off, being respectful, and letting the cards fall how they may. | |
| Feist – The Limit to Your Love Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I think there are boundaries to love that her partner has. She is saying that her love has no boundaries. Her love is endless, deep, compassionate.... Some people just love LOVE. Her partner gives her pain, but she is intrigued by this person. Even though she knows they are not compatible, she plays with the idea of something with this person. In the end it never really fully develops, she knew it wouldn't. It is a really gorgeous song. | |

I agree! This song is encouraging, uplifting and refreshing. While we know it is clearly about letting go of the past, I also get the feeling she is hinting that peace comes from within and she can feel it, but the journey of life is what it is all about. It is not about the destination... She says it feels like it will never change, but you have to chose to walk away. In other words, you have to chose to search for the peace within daily on the journey of life. The journey is where you will find peace. I never get tired of listening of this song no matter what stage I am in in life. |
