He actually said in an interview it was about his hatred of all things Hollywood. That might include Love but it would be a stretch to say it was aimed specifically at her. |

Hmmm, I think it could be about Courtney Love, it's not impossible, and if it was on the first or second album I might agree, but I think Grohl had put attacks on Love behind him by 2005, if you read his interviews around then he doesn't want to fight. More likely it's about just the end of a relationship. |

If you read the interview on fooarchive.com you'll find it is not about Kurt Cobain at all, it's about how idolising ordinary people. Grohl thinks that's how it should be. "He's ordinary". And if you watch the video, it's about a normal guy becoming a hero. |

Dave Grohl said "This song questions the meaning of life, probably". It seems to be partly a love song, partly a musing on life and afterlife. I don't think there's really any way of unifying the themes. |
