| Titus Andronicus – Still Life with Hot Deuce on Silver Platter Lyrics

Definitely. The original lyric on The Monitor after the dark-winged devils line was "Seven angels find me spread across the floor". This time it's "You see me spread across the floor. 1-2-3-4-5-6-7 angels don't come around here no more".
There's also a reference in The Monitor about being a "fucking junkie", a sentiment echoed here as well. |

| Titus Andronicus – No Future Part III: Escape from No Future Lyrics

"Smoking's been okay so far but I need something that works faster
So all I want for Christmas is no feelings no feelings now and never again
...
And now there's a robot that lives in my brain he tells me what to do
I can't do nothing without his permission that wasn't part of the plan
So now at Rock Ridge Pharmacy I will be waiting for my man"
Sounds like it's about antidepressants or another similar prescription drug. |

| The Gaslight Anthem – High Lonesome Lyrics

The phrase "that high and lonesome sound" was originally associated with a bluegrass singer named Bill Monroe, and later bluegrass in general. It was around way before the Replacements came along. It's more likely that both Westerberg and Fallon heard the phrase in the context of bluegrass and liked the imagery. |

| Suicide – Frankie Teardrop Lyrics

There's nothing explicit in the lyrics to suggest it, and I don't think the band has confirmed it in interviews either, but a fairly common interpretation of the song is that Frankie is a Vietnam vet. Viewed through that lens it's sort of a punk "Born in the USA". |

I'm pretty sure it's "And I don't wanna fight any more" the whole way through, not just the last time. |
