i actually have listened to this song whilst flying from chicago to athens. it was nearly the tenth hour in the air and i was feeling exhausted, no longer eager the way i was prior to boarding. but despite my despondence, in this moment i suddenly drew my ipod from my bag and began to listen to sigur rós. it was almost subconscious, as i didn't quite realise what i was doing until i looked at he flight status on the monitor in front of me, then out the window to the land below...i was looking down on iceland. |
