My boyfriend dedicated this song to me when we first started dating. He did it because it totally and completely talked about something we were going through at the time. He had just broken up with his girlfriend, or rather, she had left him. I felt a little bit like a rebound, he and I had been friends for a long time, much longer than she had been around. When she left he was hurting, and we started going out and even though he kept telling me how much he loved me and was glad I was there, he still talked about Nic all the time! I felt quite awful and tried to figure out some way to break it off, even though I loved him and didn't want to leave. Then he told me that this song was exactly how he was feeling. Even though he loved me he was afraid to let go of Nic. Now, however, we're still together and Nic is forgotten, but this song still means so much to me!!! |
