Toad the Wet Sprocket – All I Want Lyrics 15 years ago
I don't feel a relationship aspect to this song like many are saying. That maybe the inspiration for this song but it means so much more for me.

To me it is about epiphany. That place you come to when you stop the struggle of saving face and spinning your wheels for things that don't matter. You are at peace and the letting go is like a weight has been lifted off your shoulders and a veil removed from your eyes. At that moment you can see the color of the world around you again and feel the wind on your face again. Listen to this song at sunset/sunrise or at the peak of an epiphany or trip and maybe you will feel it to.

Glen Phillips – I Still Love You Lyrics 15 years ago
For sure! This is a real love song. The love that endures all things you know. This one means a ton to my wife and I. It captures the real life of the relationship and not just the warm fuzzies of youth and dating. It's awesome!!

Glen Phillips – A Joyful Noise Lyrics 15 years ago
Incredible! Listened to this while thinking and ended up in meditation without understanding how or when it came. I think the song repeated even though I had not meant for it to, or perhaps it was one of those eternal moments. It seemed like hours. I don't remember everything that transpired in the moment but by the end of the song I felt like I was a child just being found after a long time lost in a cold dark night. Love, forgiveness, and understanding flooded my day and went on for a few weeks. Thank You Glen for whatever it is your doing.

Glen Phillips – Thank You Lyrics 15 years ago
I agree that the song has spiritual element, but I don't think it has to be Christian neccessarily. It's a little confusing considering Glen's inclination toward Buddism (that I read in an interview). That is, the song is not only theistic but also is suggesting that the deity is personal I think; while classical Buddism doesn't have a god. At least it doesn't have a personal god. My oppinion is that the artist is searching as I am, yet, perhaps, found at least that our Creator is capable of relationship and perhaps even wooing us toward it. I love this song and find that my spirit is opened up in a type of worship that I don't get from most dogmatic praise songs. Much of Glen's music has this great effect on me.

Glen Phillips – The Next Day Lyrics 15 years ago
I love this song. I can't pretend to know what Glen was thinking and I would hate to be socio-political about things; but this song makes me think of the progression of marxist communism. That, to me, being the "nobelest experiment".
