I feel like this song is about someone in a relationship who is wondering why it's not like love is in the songs. Maybe she's had a bad experience, maybe she just finds it hard to completely open up to someone, but trying to be in love is causing a lot of conflict within her. I feel like "All my friends say it's gonna get better" is about her asking her friends if she's ever going to be able to open up, and them assuring her. |
