| This song, like many other beatles songs, were written so that you can come up with your own meaning. It probably had its own meaning to John just like it has its own meaning to each one of us. And for those thinking its purely made as a child's song with no real meaning, I do not think they would release a song like that. This song is about an alcoholic and/or drug addict that lets time pass and doesn't think about paying attention to the best things in life or becoming successful. Now, he finally realizes what he has done and wants to know "Which way to the top?" or How do I become successful? P.S. I'm surprised there arent more comments on this song. It's great! |
