Tullycraft – Molly's Got a Crush on Us Lyrics 17 years ago
I had a slight distant yet not annoying suspicion about "Molly..." because of the line "We took a song and simply changed the words..." but I had no idea it was a rewrite. (vchamberlain said "you should" have known this was a rewrite but I've been terribly busy. I'll try and keep up next round.)

"Barker's beauties: A term used to describe American models 1972-present"

"Barker's Beauties" was what Bob Barker, former long time host of the day time game show "Price Is Right" called the models on the show who stood by washers, refigerators, and cars. The line "You won't meet Barker's Beauties unless you learn to spin the wheel" probably references the wheel contestants spin during the "Showcase Showdown" on the show.

"some of this stuff i think is a reference to indiepop stuff"

What's "ten plagues of Egypt"? A Band? (STOP! I'm kidding!)

This song is so beautifully restrained. I like the countdown song because it's lyrically clunky rather than being over polished and too clever. The countdown reminds me of "Multiplication/Schoolhouse Rock", especially when they sing "Two" and the line "Try and agree on the fifteen decisive battles of the world..."

Dang this song is addictively sweet...I keep hittin' replay.
