Lynyrd Skynyrd – Sweet Home Alabama Lyrics 16 years ago
That WAS rampant in the South, it is not anymore. There is racism in every region of the country. It is not more rampant in the South than other regions. I think the South has come to terms with the past and is trying to look to the future.

Sons Of Butcher – fuck the shit Lyrics 17 years ago
In 05-06 I was serving in Iraq. Our attitude got pretty bad because of all the BS we had to put up with. My watch section had an underway song (ships do this when they leave their home port)and we choose this. Everyday after pass down we had someone standing by on the boom box and I would announce "Section 3 has the watch" and this song would get blasted. Everyone loved it. It was a little thing that made a hard job a little easier. Thank you SOB!

Greg Kihn Band – The Break-up song (they don't write em') Lyrics 17 years ago
Always heard this song is about a band breaking up... not lovers breaking up. Puts a different spin on it.

Golden Earring – Twilight Zone Lyrics 17 years ago
I like the very beginning,

"Somewhere in a lonely hotel room the empty guy
Starts to realize that eternal fate has turned its back on him" (which is a 3rd person point of view referencing an earlier comment).

This is the very moment you realize you are screwed. You have taken your chances, you have gone past the point of no return, now it is not going to work out and you have put everything on the line. You Are Screwed! I can relate to this having it happen to me so many times before to lesser degrees (things like girlfriend, jobs, friends, etc...) I feel the hopelessness right in the beginning.

Hear'say – Monday Monday Lyrics 17 years ago
I think you have the songs about the affair mixed up. Monday Monday is on The Mamas & The Papas first album that came out before Michelle and Deeny’s affair. John did write a song about their affair called “I Saw Her Again”.
It is a nonsense song, the lyrics really do not have a deeper meaning, they just go well together. The band always got a kick of how many theory’s were created about what it had to mean. The rest of the band hated it at first and didn’t want to sing it but were very happy later that they did.
