I disagree. I think if any one religious group is trying to take over the world it is the Jews. They exert disproportionate influence over world affairs via U.S. foreign policy. The American Jewish/Zionist lobby (AIPAC), the World Bank, and, of course, Hollywood are all active vehicles of Jewish power. The Jews have essentially already taken over the Middle East and continue to successfully funnel money and sympathy (at least in the U.S.) towards their crusade. After all, they are purportedly the "chosen people." |

i don't think Nick was ever really an "addict." he makes lots of references in songs to his partying when he first moved to LA, but it doesn't seem to me that he ever got in that deep. he used to use coke and (surprise, surprise) it had some unpleasant consequences for him, but it never amounted to anything way serious like going to rehab or anything a la Anthony Kiedis. he never even used heroin as far as i know. |

awesome song. you can download it from 311tribute.com.
"2,000 miles to the sea" - i wonder if this song is about somebody Nick knew in Omaha or just someone he knew in LA later on? |

I think it's so awesome that everyone connects with the outro/chorus "not an even field ..." The digital delay on the vocals makes it feel like you're listening to it for eons (and eons). |

I'm surprised to see how many people don't like this song. I guess that's partly why they don't play it live anymore. That and because it talks a lot about former members of their crew, e.g. Scotch Ralston, who don't work with them anymore? |

I wonder if the opening lyrics refer to anyone in particular, i.e. a "rock star", or if they just refer to self-pitying celebrities in general. |

Ya I think kevrochucky's right. When they played this song in 2001 at the Thunderdome at UCSB, Nick explained how this was about him trying acid for the first time at Ledbetter Beach in Santa Barbara. |
