| i think a literal translation of halfway to a threeway is actually only possessing one and a half people. i think the handicapped woman in the narrator's relationship represents the half person. this handicap of course is a metaphor for something the woman doesn't or can't possess. i think jim then turns the song into something very absurd but still retains a distinct feeling of sadness about the relationship. | |
