true. he is writing to himself. i believe he is referring to a girl who is already in a relationship (if you want her you can't have her), but really wants to be with him (that girl you want, she's never going away) He knows that they'll be together one day, but the waiting is killing him. *insert my life here* Meanwhile he is trying to keep the focus on himself and enjoy his life (they will all just go away, all of the demons, enjoy this life right now, you know what you're to do). Still, he feel fragmented and unstable (break yourself into a million pieces). He spends his time thinking only of her (and letters yes they matter write her quite a few and she might love you for it but you can't count on it) He can't focus therefore everything he feels he is living in limbo (everything else can wait for you to do. It's almost as if he has put his life on hold as he waits for this situation to settle. |
