Ha. Sorry to bust your bubble bud, but it's not about physical baptism. This song describes the cleansing feeling that comes when you are baptized in the Spirit, and not water. But I agree with the rest. |

This song is obviously a description of the life that we, as Christians, are called to live every day. Welcome to the war. -this is what you are called to when accepting Christ as your saviour. The war against sin, that all must face. A martyr's challenge. -this is referring to us 'taking up our cross', and dying to ourselves. Chainsaw brutality, tornado strength. -this is describing the previously mentioned war. King of the diamond, king of the grave. -Satan is the king of materialism, and the things of this world, which can lead down a road leading to Satan's other dominion, the grave. Lawlessness stains black on whitewashed tombs. -by lawlessness, he means people who have no regard for God's law. This means that the actions of these people put stains on purity. We're too strong to compromise. -No matter what, as Christians, we cannot compromise with anything of this world. Don't be ashamed of your faith. -that one's pretty self explainatory. Dear Lord, deliver me from hypocrisy and surcease the scarlet desire. -the speaker wants God to deliver him from the hypocrisy of the church, and lift the temptation of sin, which is often appealing, from his life. He wears a slick jacket and gold watch. -this says how the devil can be deceptively appealing. Her dishonesty has scarred hands. -honestly, i have no idea what that means. (ding ding) -totally epic |
