you have no clue at all. it's about a girl who's married and the singer of the song is in love with her and she's really all about material stuff and throws fits when she doesn't get what she wants (tempest in a teacup= throwing a fit). peroxide princess, that was an easy crack. it just goes with the whole selfish bit. although, i still can't get the first line... |

everyone says they think this about the way a girl is cheating on her husband, but i don't think so. i think the songwriter has an insane crush on the girl (think a little harder about "does your husband know the way that the sunshine gleams from your wedding band", then think about "does he know the way of the crickets that convince me to call it a night") it's the guy saying all that, not the girl. the girl, is obviously more concerned about the material biproducts of a marrige, thus the flaunting of the wedding band. (plus there's all that suff about "peroxide princess, shine like shark teeth") think. that means she gets whatever she wants but is a total preppy bitch when she doesn't get what she wants (tempest in a teacup, anybody?) the only thing i can't get, although, is the first line. what does the sandman have to do with anything? i can't even make anything with the concept of the sandman. i don't know? |
