| Wilco – Everlasting Everything Lyrics | 16 years ago |
In a lot of Jeff's lyrics he changes his... opinion? I guess that's the word. Well yeah, he changes his opinion throughout the song. Observe: "Everlasting love is a lie" "Everlasting love for ever more" "Everlasting love is all you have" He did that in the song Why Would You Wanna Live? too. As for this song, I like it a lot. |

| Wilco – I'll Fight Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Here's what I hear: I'll die alone on some Forgotten hill Abandoned by the mill All my blood will Spring and spill I'll thrash the air and be still and And we will steal your life And die old In better homes surrounded By your peers...etc. I love this song so much! After I listened to this song and actually started to listen to the lyrics I was kind of disturbed by the "all my blood will spring and spill" line. Stuff like that usually doesn't creep me out, but that just made me get all asldkfja;lsdkjf;alskdjfl;askdj. :D |

| Andrew Bird – Oh No Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| We may have been at the same show! Did you see him in Lawrence? Anyway, yeah, I agree about songs having so many meanings. Also, everyone has their own way of interpreting lyrics so there could be a billion different interpretations and none of them could be what the artist was writing about. | |
| Beck – Broken Drum Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I hear it like this: "you know I'll laugh and I won't take it back I've seen your act I know what your thinking" I don't hear an 's', and it rhymes better. Anyone agree? ------ "I see you there/your long black hair/your eyes just stare/your mind is turning" is the awkwardness while you're in the middle of a fight. Her eyes are staring angrily at him as her mind 'turns' to find something to say, but he knows what she's thinking because they've had that fight before. This is my favorite line in the song because it describes that feeling so well. "you know I'll laugh/and I won't take it back/I've seen your act/I know what your thinking" The point in the fight where he laughs at the absurd excuses she makes, and again, he's seen this all before. "and one by one/we'll shoot our guns/we'll have fun/don't ever doubt it" about the better times that they had? Maybe.. "and when I say/fare thee well/my only friend/oh how the days go" pretty self-explanatory here. He says goodbye to his only friend, and after that, the days go by slowly. "your setting sun/your broken drum/your little drugs " broken drum meaning something that's pretty much trashed, and maybe 'little drugs' is why the two broke up. "I'll never forget you. Never forget you" He will never forget her. |

Sort of a follow up on what iamnotmozart said: Bird was on a plane, and behind him was a little boy just saying "Oh.. No.." and his mom said "It's okay! We're just going home!" but the kid just kept saying "Oh... No.." |

| Beck – Hollywood Freaks Lyrics | 16 years ago |
It's "HEMAHNUUNNN!" Here's the story: The phrase Beck is shouting throughout the song is "He my nun!" Apparently, the band heard it on an Ice Cube record, and when Beck broke it out one day, it made them all laugh. It caught on. As Beck tells it, "We were listening to an Ice Cube song on the bus and he's always going 'HEEMAHNUNNN!!!!' We thought he was saying, 'He's my nun.' So on 'Hollywood Freaks,' I start the song with 'HEE-MAH-NUNNN' and you can hear a couple of the guys in the background busting up." ---From Whiskeyclone.net I love this song and know every word! I've been trying to teach my friend the lyrics, but she's having some trouble. (: |

| Beck – We Dance Alone Lyrics | 16 years ago |
This song gives me the feeling of like... a party that's at someone's (rather large) condo and there's a terrace where there are people just mingling around, drinking out of red dixie cups, and there you are with your girl/guy just dancing in the twilight. In the summer time. Alone. I'm not sure why, but that's what I always think of when I listen to this song. |
| Beck – Devil's Haircut Lyrics | 16 years ago |
This song gives me a feeling of a summer night -around twilight- with a bunch of friends in a felid just dancing. I'm not sure why. A lot of his songs give me that feeling. |

Yep. =D He also coughs/weird sneeze on the song "Outcome" and then he sniffs. |

I love the way he says "ba-rum-pa-pum-pum uh". :) |

This song makes me laugh! I love it! |

| Beck – Nitemare Hippy Girl Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I love this song so much. :) "with her skinny fingers fondlin' my world" is my favorite line, and I've been singing it constantly. |
| Beck – This Girl That I Know Lyrics | 17 years ago |
You must have gotten a different version of the song. I clearly hear "She used to work for a literary journal but she's really into HIP-HOP" -not guitar. |
| Beck – Peaches & Cream Lyrics | 17 years ago |
This song is SEXY. =D Beckalicious. |
| Califone – Pink & Sour Lyrics | 17 years ago |

I know! I love it. I don't think that my lyrics are correct on here, do you have any input? I just got them off of some other site and changed a few things. |
| Beck – Pay No Mind (Snoozer) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| "This is song 2, on the album, this is the album right here. Burn the album!" | |
| Beck – Tasergun Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I'm sure that Beck has lived in some whacked places... I wouldn't doubt for a second that this is a real story! "Watch out son, I got a taser gun!" and "he became known as the electric old man" are my favorite lines. |
| Beck – Sexx Laws Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I know! I first heard it without looking at the lyrics, and I clearly heard "snacks".... He even sings it that way live! |
| Beck – Motorcade Lyrics | 17 years ago |
That's totally what I was thinking of! The lines "Digital food malls" and "They act like earth was terrestrial prison" in 1000 Bmp also remind me of Wall-E. |
| Beck – Chemtrails Lyrics | 17 years ago |
It's odd that the lyrics that come with the CD are different from what we hear (or what are said). He's done that before, too: "My ... Girl!" <--- The great mystery! These are some the lyrics that come with the CD (sorry for the caps... that's the way that they are in the digital booklet). "YOU AND ME WATCHING A SEA FULL OF PEOPLE TRY NOT TO DROWN SO MANY PEOPLE SO, MANY PEOPLE WHERE DO THEY GO? YOU AND ME WATCHING A SKY FULL OF CHEMTRAILS WATCHING THE JET PLANES GO BY YOU AND ME WATCHING, YOU AND ME WATCHING THE CHEM- TRAILS IS WHERE WE BELONG THAT’S WHERE WE’LL BE WHEN WE DIE IN THE SLIPSTREAM WE’LL CLIMB IN A HOLE IN THE SKY" |
| Beck – No Complaints Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I'm glad that someone else thinks that he says "dog" in the last line... All of the other online lyrics say "That's where my drawl comes from". Craziness! |
| Wilco – Wishful Thinking Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Well, in "The Wilco Book", it show's Glenn's "Inglentions", --that name was from Jeff--. Some of Glenn's descriptions ("pressure devices" and "chambers of chains") are in that song. Glenn gave Jeff some copies of his idea notebooks as a response to Jeff's request for the bands lyric contributions. I hope that made sense... it was hard for me to word that. :D I love this song, and I love the question "What would we be without wishful thinking?". Beautiful. |
| Wilco – Heavy Metal Drummer Lyrics | 17 years ago |
As for the meaning, I don't know, but it seams that slapshot got it right. But, I have a huge crush on Glenn (the drummer).... ha, so, people have made shirts for me saying "She fell in love with the drummer" and things like that. I've dubbed it "My Song" around my friends. :D |

| Wilco – A Magazine Called Sunset Lyrics | 17 years ago |

I most (if not all) of his songs are about Sue. I think that "Me ever forget this impossible longing for you" is about Jeff being on the road and away from Sue (his wife). |
