The Velvet Underground – All Tomorrow's Parties Lyrics 3 years ago
Listening to this song is tough, because it forces you to look at a worrying situation today: about children’s defencelessness amid the gigantic outside world.

What if children grow up in a world where they are not protected and their potentials not nurtured? What will they become and how will they survive?

All little children, regardless of gender, should be free to think and be given the opportunities to create an identity of their own, and I guess “Thursday’s child” symbolises just the opposite, while “turning to Sunday’s clown” suggests that people who blindly follow will have their true self forever hidden because their potential never actualised. They are people who don’t exist.

Who is the one who make you believe you’re just another Thursday’s child and hand you the costumes? Those who take advantages of you. So this song is directed at people who have the power to make a difference.
