I do also think this is about an insecure boy. I think, with the chorus being stated the way it is "Blame it on the corporate skyscrapers in the clouds, but if it wasn't for you, we wouldnt have all these multiple crowds" I think there is more behind it than just that. People care so much about brand names, and the way that everyone else thinks about him, so in the tense that it is about an insecure boy he is saying he is insecure because he is trying so hard to fit into the corporate bullshit, and if it wasnt for the mainsteam and the corporate shit he wouldnt have to feel the way he does about himself. |
