| Textures – Illumination Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| Soooo... Is he for or against the Illuminati? | |
| Devil Sold His Soul – An Ocean Of Lights Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| This whole album seems to be about them turning their backs on God and becoming part of the occult. You won't find answers there, you'll find nothing but darkness. I hope I'm wrong... I hope I've misinterpreted. | |
| Fear Factory – Edgecrusher Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| Sure it's "Break" and not "Brink of the Edgecrusher"? | |
| Sleeping Giant – He Will Reign Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I know, it does for me, as well. It is truly epic. | |
| Meshuggah – New Millennium Cyanide Christ Lyrics | 16 years ago |

"for me this song isn't about a human trying to become a new god, because if he would have wanted to, as first thing he would have left his life and his human form, but he didn't for what i can read, he just changed himself. changed himself in the way the common sense, or better, the human thought boundaries could describe a god he changed almost everything, except his mind, the real creator of all the violence" That's so true, and very well put. A lot of people in this world see evil in the actions produced, and not at the source. That is why a lot of people are confused and ask "How can this happen? How can this be allowed?" I agree that this song, like almost every other Meshuggah song (as far as I know) isn't necessarily about religion. But I think, if anything, it can be seen as pro-religion (or at least pro-God). The reason I say this is that, as well as the meaning above, it could simultaneously be about Man's fascination with technology, and most recently, AI. Man seeks salvation in physical things, he is caught in illusion and believes that this is all that there is. And so, in this delusion, he tries to make the most of what he has, and tries to improve it. With the belief that this material body is all he has, he tries to make it stronger, superior, even invincible. The mind creates this delusion, and that is why it is overlooked by the protagonist, because it wants to be overlooked. The man has become a puppet of his mind, and he falls deeper and deeper into Hell, even as his body is still present on Earth. |

| Meshuggah – I Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I think "I" could be the Devil. I won't go through it line for line to show why I think that, just read through the lyrics with that concept in mind and see what you think. | |
| Beneath the Massacre – Comforting Prejudice Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I partially disagree with you. I don't believe it's specifically aimed at Christians, but all religious people who try to enforce their beliefs and view points on others; all of those that are hypocrites, preaching of love, good-will, and tolerance, yet are unable to abide by their own advice. Just because someone is religious or believes in God, does not make them perfect, and sadly many people are given a bad impression because of those people, and thus are pushed further from God. | |
| Oh, Sleeper – The End Of A Dark Campaign (The Amputation) Lyrics | 16 years ago |

That really was epic, theBush, and I completely agree with you. Perfect. Though, I believe that the crest simply refers to the red cross that would be on the helmet of the medic =P |

| Inhale Exhale – It's Myself Vs. Being a Man Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
It's about sex, and regretting it. Perhaps a one night stand, the "Darkness fills this as does the empty bottles." line suggests that. Basically sex is often used as an act to gratify the senses, something that one should have control over, something that the mind (the Devil) pushes people towards. To me this song is just about the feelings, and the duality, faced in that. |

| Second Thief – Jasper Fire Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| It's seems quite obvious that it's about giving yourself up to God. Great song. Awesome message. | |
| Inhale Exhale – Redemption Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I think the meaning to this song is pretty obvious. You only have to read the title of it to realise =P | |
| Misery Signals – Homecoming Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
To me it seems like this album is telling a story, almost like a concept album. At the beginning we see the speaker turning his back on God and his faith and throughout the album it is reiterated and shown in different lights and with different emotions. Then at the end the speaker finally comes back to God and again feels what is unseen. He now feels back at home, and the "spell" (his doubt) is broken. At least, that's my interpretation. |

| Misery Signals – Nothing Lyrics | 16 years ago |

It's in reference to God and the speaker's faith. He's turning his back on God and loves it at first, but towards the end feels guilt and regret and wonders if God will forgive him. To me this entire album seems like a story, from beginning to end, portraying a person (perhaps Karl Schubach himself) going through doubt and regret, and losing faith in God and all he has believed. |

I believe that the reference to scars and self-harm is both symbolic and literal, because of this line: "Button up your shirt. Roll down those sleeves. Don't let them see how you've coped." It's not just "emo"s that cut themselves, that's quite stereotypical. I agree that this song is just about getting through hard times and getting on with life. It also makes a reference to not turning your back on God and your faith: "Life can be overwhelming, but don't turn your back on the strongest crutch you've ever." Though it could also be talking about friends: "They have always been there to brace your fall." I think the video is also symbolic, because it shows the man being beaten up, and it turns out that it's himself beating himself up. It's suggesting that the man is his own worst enemy, and again referencing self-harm or abuse. At least that's my take on it. |

| Minus the Bear – The Fix Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
This song IS about sex in a pool; "Dropped his clothes..." "Their bodies touching, Her hands moved to pull him under, For some kind of kiss, As he slides in..." The last bit obviously referring to a certain part of his body. I just wanted to clear it up for a few people that didn't fully understand it :) |

| Minus the Bear – Knights Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I say it's about his girl cheating on him, and him then cheating on her to make it even. That's why he doesn't see it as a sin, because he owes her. | |
