This song is incredible! i agree with ninamarie8a in meaning. it's about pursuing something with some one even though you should know better than to do so. He fights and stuff but she can't help it and it's written at the point when she finally realizes she wants to let it go also this may just be grammar mistakes or whatever but i always hear it as "we're under the sheets etc" not "were under the sheets etc" am i wrong? |

i agree with gloccuster. its about giving up trying with someone, be it a friend or lover- its sort of left open so everyone can take their own meaning from it. but letting them know you're there if you need them. expecting them to come back to you when they realise they need you and when times are hard, when theres "rain." |

"But I watched our love, it fade" i swear its actually "But I watched all of it fade" that makes sense. like he used to be this amazing guy, now hes changed and the amazing guy has faded. i totally empathise with kittyxneedsxyou my exboyfriend is still my best friend and he can act so innocent and hes messed me up so much, now he and my supposed friend have gotten together, she knew i still love him shes to cowardly to talk to me now. shes not even talked to me about it. like i'm a really firm believer in the whole "not dating friends exes" unless you ask and they ssay they dont mind. but i didnt get asked, she knows i still love him. and i had to find all this out by seeing a pic of them kissing online. isn't it amazing that taylors songs touch so many diff people in so many situations! |
