i REALLY like that theory of this song being the girl's reply to "Self Conclusion" i completely adore the song Self Conclusion, and i think it's a good story. but that just made me look at this song in a whole different way. i love it. amazing. and it makes sense, bc it talks about how he saved her, and "defended all of her life" and now she's content bc she's alive. |

i don't think it's a true fact that she's cheated on him. more of, i think you're cheating on me bc you talk to alot of guys. he gets jealous and starts to assume things. like, the fact that when she talks to her guy friends, she might make it seem flirty in a way.. but then she calms down a bit bc her boyfriend is there, and she kinda stops. making it in a way secretive that she's acting flirty. that would be " i've seen those hush hush looks you give" and "horrified that you might have really lied tell me is it a possibility overwhelming proof that you're nothing but a fake." that would be proving that she didn't actually do anything, but he's assuming that she did. he may have confronted her about the fact that she flirts alot. then, when she denies it, he assumes that she was lying. then at the end when it says "why don't you just tie the mattress to your back" he kinda took it too far, and let his thoughts and fears get the better of him. again, he's assuming that she may have slept with all of these guys that she's friends with. |
