I would love to think that Alex (lead singer) has gone back to writting about vampires, so this is how I am interpreting it: The guy was with this girl and he thought it was going to be like a one night stand or something then the kiss changed his life, meaning being turned into a vampire. Now her blood is in his veins and due to this he cant stop thinking about her. He has a "lifeless touch" meaning he kills those he comes in contact due to a thirst. But his thirst is not satisfied so he will wait forever to get another taste of her to fulfill himself. I am probably COMPLETLY off on this interpretation, but I guess it can be seen anyway that someone wants :) This is a great song by the way. |

| This is about this guy's girlfriend that cheated on him even though she said she loved him and would never hurt him. Then he killed her. There is a reference to her being swept away by the ocean but im not sure if it is literal because it also refereces that she's drowning in her sin. | |

Okay so i think this is what this song means: A guy loves this girl, but she is haunting him because she hurt him before. He wants to want her yet he doesnt and it is tearing him apart. His desires are getting the best of him and it is slowly starting to take over him. |
