Actually yeah you're right. "Gone To Earth" on Fun of Watching Fireworks uses these lyrics, has an extended instrumental intro, and is softer sounding, with distinct harmonies sung on the closing phrases like "Millions left to roam" and "Always bring me home" Also has a unique percussion for an AmAnSet song, with what sounds like a conga drum or bongos, and a vibraphone or something similar only appearing between verses. The Know By Heart version is a little heavier, the vocals don't feature the same harmonies but rather sound double tracked, the vibraphone is used throughout, with a keyboard bit coming in between verses. The lyrics take me to another place. Amazing songs, both of them. |

These lyrics are actually for the song "On My Way", and are not quite right for the "Gone To Earth" song heard on the CD Know By Heart. The Know By Heart version omits the second verse here and the "Away, away" bits. Both are great. |
