LOVE IT.... i've really fell for this band, their music is so damn diverse and just unlike anything else i've ever endured. i was going band through band recently, and while all were really amazing, these guys struck me the most. and that is to the point were commercial music literally seems like a joke to me know.
anyways, beautiful song. while i like swans older stuff a bit more, this is definatly one of my favorites. sound like the very dark life of a lonely and neglected child. so incredibly desolate, sinister and beautiful all at once. reminds me of the music from silent hill. |

yeah, or definatly something gone horribly wrong... this song always seemed like it could coincide with cannibal holocost to me. the people in that movie, mutilated, cooked and ate a toroise-"you burn it, then you eat it" besides that though, i really don't know why. i know this song is really about something else, but it really sounds like something that could be played with gruesome stuff like that. swans are amazing, so many songs that sound like they could be the soundtracks to tons of different things |

gotta agree with toher.. not about the amp burning out, but that piano bit, at least before the message starts playing sounds incredibly sad to me. just reminds me how fast time goes and about everyone dear to me i've lost. pretty odd to me that this track is on a noise rock album, idk why that is. |

i really cannot believe after 18 fucking years went by,i never heard this song until now,13 years after this album has been out.i just heard this song for the first time a few days ago,and it really just opened tool up for me.the tool songs that are played on the radio are seriously just the tip of their iceburg,you really have to listen to their songs like this to realise how amazing they truly are.
as a general overview of this song,it just seems to be a really dreary song,that just out of nowhere gets really soft,then has the most awesome break down i've ever heard in my life;have any of you guys realised that? how amazing this song sounds when it gets faster? holy hell...astounding it is i tell ya.
but as for the true meaning of this song? i have to agree with movedbytool.she set the best example of what this song means IMO.this is one of the best songs i have ever heard in my life,and will always be one of my favs when it comes to tool |

this is a great song.i love the sound of it.and it is apperently based off of led zepplin's black dog.so it looks like all of you are right about the led zepplin shit.but i never heard about plant being pissed off about it.still its a great song.oh yeah and that whole thing about the violin part,its true that it was just done for show on the guitar in the video,but i heard that its actually multiple synthesisers and keyboards that played it.not an actual violin like who ever it was that said it.i could be wrong though |
