So every lyric website on the internet has this wrong. If you listen to the song though you can tell where the lyrics say: This is the way it was, the way it is, it should be We fell in love with one another like the movies And well both realize that we can both be happy I wont forget you and I hope you wont forget me It should say: This is the way it was, the way it is, it should be We fell apart from one another like the movies So let's just live our lives and we can both be happy I wont forget you and I hope you wont forget me. I normally wouldn't care except that this changes the entire meaning of the song. He's trying to make the relationship work but its not helping and in that last verse he decides that the relationship won't work so he says basically they will both be happier apart but he is still in love and won't forget her. |
