As has been said its about vetrans,on the face of it I think the sadness that continues is that of seeing their friends die and then being wheeled out every year to be patronised and forced to remember "Scream to a Sigh" I suppose is that the scream of death to the sigh of the apathy pensioners are forced into with no respect, prospects or means to live. |

Like the rest of you have been saying its about youth it's almost as if the band are giving advise from their autumn to those in their summer years. When i first heard it I thought it was about litterally being in autumn but that could just be because autumn is the season when I get really bored and do stuff like cut off all my hair, bleach it etc without thinking to fight the damn mundanous of it all! Good Song. Great Band. |

Yeah it is a really pretty song. I've been to see Glasvegas a good few times now and I always seem to end up being left to go alone and when Lonesome Swan strikes up all I can do is smile really. Such an apt song, it's about being left but being able to pick yourself up and look beyond the present. Lovely. |
