most of rise against songs are political and usually refer to the environment or issues were dealing with around the world. I think your right about what they mean but i think the song was intended to be about a couple. More like the world. "except now you've strayed too far" we intended to help the planet but now our intentions have strayed. "you spent your time making excuse for the ways of life that you are choosing" we keep making excuses like "we need this forest to build fires and to make furniture" we just make excuses for the ways we live like "why should i ride my bike to work no one else dose my contribution means nothing.or i have to drive my car its to far to ride.you choose to ignore whats going on around us. |
