I think its about someone whos super afraid of connecting to another, of acknowldging the horror in life, that some people enter places terrifying. As in we all have access to that horror but "some lie", that is pretend it doesnt exist. And some confront it and see the horror, they "lie underground." Those who do confront that side of life are able to blaze paths while the more timid hide behind and follow, afraid. cf. "I hade behind your sun" in dragon's lair. |
